Rally Roadbook Creator Guide

What is a Rally Roadbook?

A rally roadbook (or 'Bolletje-Pijltje') is the essential navigation tool for motorsports enthusiasts. Unlike traditional maps, it uses standardized symbols known as "Tulip diagrams" to represent junctions, turns, and hazards in a clear, sequential format.

Our tool simplifies this process, allowing you to generate professional diagrams automatically from map data.

How to Create Your Route

  1. Plan: Use the search bars or click directly on the map to set your Start and End points.
  2. Shape: Add 'Via Points' to force the route through specific roads or scenic passes.
  3. Refine: Use the 'Optimize Order' tool if you have multiple points and want the most efficient path.

Editing Waypoints

Click any yellow waypoint marker on the map to open the SVG Waypoint Editor. Here you can:

  • Draw custom arrows and lines to clarify complex junctions.
  • Place scalable icons for hazards, fuel, or checkpoints.
  • Add detailed notes and comments for the co-driver.
  • Export your final project as a high-quality PDF or GPX file.
